Mt. Kailasch.jpg
Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarovar

Come with me to Tibet! Mount Kailash “Precious Jewels of Snow” is a peak of the Gangdise Mountains which are located in the far western region of Tibet. Many pilgrims from around the world visit to pray in the shadow of the holiest of mountains.

Despite its remote and stark location, it is also a popular destination for all adventure lovers. Mt. Kailash is flanked by two neighboring lake: Manasarovar & Rakkshas Tal. The lakes are the highest bodies of fresh water in the world, with Lake Manasarovar at 4,558m. is about 15 meters higher than Rakkshas Tal.

Some impressions you can see in my facebook-video.

Namo Buddha Trek

Easy 4-day-trekking in Southeastern part of Kathmandu Valley through beautiful landscape and villages (Dhulikhel - Namo Buddha - Balthali - Panauti).

According to the Buddhist legend, Namo Buddha is the place where the Buddha offered his body to a starving tigress so she could feed her cubs. His reliquary stupa remained underground for centuries. Namo Buddha is a sacred place for Buddhists and many pilgrims come to both the stupa and the monastery nearby especially on Saturdays. The place is very quiet and pure. Its environment is very clean, with no pollution, and the natural air is so fresh, cool and healthy. It is also the right place for meditation and practice.

Kanchenjunga Trek

Kangchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world at 8586m, located on the border between Nepal and Sikkim (India). The usual trekking destinations are the viewpoint near the climbing base camps. This region was opened for trekking in 1998 only but lots of mountaineering groups were already accessing this route for their attempt to summit that massive mountain. The inhabitants here - Rai and Limbu - are known to be very friendly people. The trek around Kangchenjunga can be done entirely as  a camping or a lodge trek in September - November or in March - May. We will pass Pang Pema Basecamp (5,140 m), Drohma secondary summit (6,010 m), Selele La, Mirgin La. On clear days we might even see Makalu and Mount Everest.

Island Peak
Everest Region

EVEREST (Sagarmatha) is more a pilgrimage than a trek: a tough personal challenge with a clear goal at the end, it passes deep into Buddhist Sherpa country, among some of the world’s most sublime peaks. The majority of trekkers in Solu-Khumbu, the Everest region, are all heading up the same trail. From the alarming airstrip at Lukla, the trail leads north into mountainous Khumbu, the dizzyingly high Sherpa homeland. The trail forks above the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar (or Namche for short): one route leads to Everest Base Camp and the viewpoint of Kala Pattar; the other for the beautiful Gokyo Lakes. Both high points are about eight days from Lukla, and can be combined by crossing the high pass of the Cho La.

Few trekkers take the hike from the roadhead at Jiri through Solu, the lower, greener, more populous and more ethnically diverse country to the south.
